About This Role
EERC is seeking a dedicated Consumer Affairs Officer to help protect the interests of electricity consumers in Enugu State. The role involves handling consumer complaints, conducting outreach, and contributing to consumer protection policy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and process consumer complaints
- Investigate complaints against electricity companies
- Mediate disputes between consumers and electricity companies
- Conduct consumer education and outreach programmes
- Maintain records of complaints and outcomes
- Prepare reports on consumer affairs trends
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any relevant field
- Minimum 2 years' experience in consumer affairs, customer service, or related role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Empathy and commitment to consumer protection
- Ability to handle complaints professionally and impartially
