Legal Officer

About This Role

EERC is looking for a qualified Legal Officer to join our Legal & Compliance team. The position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of the legal framework governing electricity regulation in Enugu State.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice on regulatory matters
  • Draft and review legal instruments, contracts, and correspondence
  • Assist in dispute resolution proceedings
  • Conduct legal research on electricity sector issues
  • Monitor legislative and judicial developments affecting the electricity sector

Requirements & Qualifications

  • LLB and BL from a recognized institution
  • Minimum 3 years post-call experience, preferably in regulatory law or energy law
  • Strong legal research and drafting skills
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
