The Enugu State Government Enugu State Government, through the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP) GIZ Nigeria & ECOWAS, is inviting credible and interested solar mini-grid developers to submit proposals of innovative and feasible mini-grid projects in Enugu State. The objective is to expand electricity access in unserved and underserved areas in the state, as well as to foster a renewable energy market in Enugu.
Project Highlights:
- - Scope: Mini-grids supplying at least 1,500 new customers, with capacity ranging from 0.2MW to 0.6MW.
- - Support: Up to 70–80% capital expenditure (CAPEX) cost covered via in-kind grant support.
- - Site Selection: Developers to select sites from the Nigerian SE4ALL geospatial database: https://lnkd.in/e48D254e
Application Deadline: Friday, 15th August 2025 by 4:00 PM.
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants:
- - Be incorporated in Nigeria with valid CAC, Tax, PENCOM, NSITF, ITF certificates.
- - Show evidence of experience in mini-grid development.
- - Demonstrate technical and financial viability.
