Call For Renewable Energy Project Development for State Electricity Market (REDSEM) in Enugu State

Call For Renewable Energy Project Development for State Electricity Market (REDSEM) in Enugu State

The Enugu State Government Enugu State Government, through the Nigerian Energy Support Programme (NESP) GIZ Nigeria & ECOWAS, is inviting credible and interested solar mini-grid developers to submit proposals of innovative and feasible mini-grid projects in Enugu State. The objective is to expand electricity access in unserved and underserved areas in the state, as well as to foster a renewable energy market in Enugu.

Project Highlights:

  1. - Scope: Mini-grids supplying at least 1,500 new customers, with capacity ranging from 0.2MW to 0.6MW.
  2. - Support: Up to 70–80% capital expenditure (CAPEX) cost covered via in-kind grant support.
  3. - Site Selection: Developers to select sites from the Nigerian SE4ALL geospatial database: https://lnkd.in/e48D254e

Application Deadline: Friday, 15th August 2025 by 4:00 PM.

Eligibility Criteria for Applicants:

  1. - Be incorporated in Nigeria with valid CAC, Tax, PENCOM, NSITF, ITF certificates.
  2. - Show evidence of experience in mini-grid development.
  3. - Demonstrate technical and financial viability.

How to Apply:

  1. - Submit hard and soft copies of proposals to the Chairman/CEO, EERC Office No 2 Forest close, off Forest Crescent, GRA, Enugu State.
  2. - Email submission to NESP@giz.de and copy: info@eerc.en.gov.ng and christopherezeoha0@gmail.com
